Spokane, Washington
Spokane is located in the Eastern part of Washington state and has an estimated population of more than 202,000 people. It is located directly on the Spokane river which comes from the Selkirk Mountain Range. Camp Spokane was established in 1880 and Spokane Falls provides a great gathering place for indigenous people because of the river. The city of Spokan Falls (the e was added in 1883) was officially incorporated in 1881. The area grew drastically due to the great northern railway which made it into a great transportation hub.
There are multiple things to do and see in the city including the Riverfront Park, Manito Park, Monroe Street Bridge, Riverside State Park Bowl and Pitcher, Spokane County Courthouse, Cat Tales Zoological Park and Finch Arboretum. There is also the Broadview Dairy Museum and Caterina Winery, the Davenport Arts District, Mobius Children’s Museum, Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture and One of a Kind in the World Museum.
